Notes & Recommendations
Plant root stock – 1 hectare of sweet potatoes will plant out 8 hectares of new crop.
Make sure your stock is virus free.
- If lands are high in nematodes use Velum at 2 litres per hectare
- Spray every two weeks with Chlorophyriphos at 2lt/ha or 4lt/ha through pivot for sweet potato weevil
- Spray with Thunder at 350mls/ha at any sign of worms
- Spray 1–1.5l/ha of Dual Magnum pre planting
- Spray 1.5 to 2ltrs/ha of Fusilade Forte depending on grass size for post emergent control
- Spray 3ltrs/ha Basagran for post emergent control
