Fortenza® Duo Syngenta

Fortenza® Duo is a premium systemic seed treatment insecticide from Syngenta, combining two powerful active ingredients for comprehensive maize protection. This dual-action formulation contains Cyantraniliprole 600 g/L (FORTENZA® 600 FS) and Thiamethoxam 600 g/L (CRUISER® 600 FS), delivering broad-spectrum insect control with long residual action from planting through early crop development.

Dual Mode of Action:

Cyantraniliprole belongs to the anthranilic diamide class of chemistry (Group 28) and functions as a ryanodine receptor modulator, activating insect ryanodine receptors to disrupt muscle function. This fully soil-systemic compound is rapidly absorbed by roots and translocated upward through the xylem system, providing protection throughout the plant. Insects are controlled primarily through ingestion, with additional contact activity.

Thiamethoxam is a targeted broad-spectrum neonicotinoid insecticide that interferes with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor of insect nervous systems. It demonstrates root-systemic activity with rapid stomach and contact action, providing quick knockdown and extended residual control.

Comprehensive Crop Protection:

Fortenza® Duo provides excellent crop protection through rapid feeding inhibition and long-lasting residual effects. When applied as a seed treatment, the active ingredients prevent insect damage from the earliest stages of crop development, ensuring superior crop establishment and resulting in increased yields and improved quality. The product distributes with water in the root zone, protecting plants from soil-dwelling pests including grubs and wireworms, while also moving upward to control above-ground insects such as aphids, chewing pests, thrips, leaf and stem feeding coleoptera, and broad-spectrum lepidopteran species.

Application for Maize/Corn:

Dosage: 292 ml FORTENZA® 600 FS + 292 ml CRUISER® 600 FS per 100 kg of seed

Application Method: Tank mix FORTENZA® 600 FS with CRUISER® 600 FS, water, and polymer. Consult Syngenta Seedcare for the complete recipe. Treated seed must preferably be planted between 3-5 cm deep.
