The Trial

Several small-scale tobacco trials were carried out in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons using Plesiva™ Star applied at planting at 270 g/ha. Treated rows were compared against untreated rows in the same field under matching conditions, then observed for early-season pest pressure and crop development.

Headline Results

Dusty surface beetle

Controlled in treated rows where it was visibly present in the untreated control.

Budworm & cutworm

Controlled through the establishment window.

8 weeks of control

Single at-planting application held through to canopy closure.
